As a mid-level Waterline and Sewerline Conveyance Engineer, each day, you will be an important team member as you serve our client in preliminary and detailed design as well as coordinate delivery with our clients. Join our team and help us lay the foundation for human progress. As a Senior Conveyance Engineer, job responsibilities will include:
Performing engineering activities for preliminary and detailed waterline and sewerline design, including review and analysis of system needs, utilizing hydraulic and hydrologic models, evaluating alternatives, and performing preliminary/detailed design.
Assisting with planning, design, and review of conveyance systems.
Preparing models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and performing calculations in support of engineering activities.
System modeling: interpretation and quality assurance of model results, including presentation of results.
Work may also include a variety of other water infrastructure, including treatment and facilities design, utilities assessments and design.
Working under the supervision of senior-level engineers, project managers, and with client service managers.
Performing routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
Preparing engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and performing calculations in support of engineering activities.
Conducting field investigations as needed.
Work requires full days working independently in the field, coordinating with CH2M and municipal staff.
Independently evaluating the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Professional Engineering license in Georgia or ability to obtain reciprocity
A minimum of 7 to 10 years competency in working with municipal clients in engineering roles
Ability to demonstrate competancy/skill in industry-standard software, including Microsoft Office, ArcGIS and graphics/CAD software
Able to demonstrate understanding, preparation, editing and coordination of engineering drawings, reports, studies, and calculations.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills specifically related to writing and presentations
Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills specifically related to writing and presentations
Ability to demonstrate possession of an outgoing and positive attitude, dependability, and ability to meet assigned project deadlines
Ability to demonstrate an adeptness at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams
Ability to travel up to 10%
