CH2M Government Relations Geographic Director - South Atlantic Region in Atlanta, Georgia
Leading all public and political outreach in primary support of the State & Local Governments Client Sector and secondarily to other Client sectors efforts for sales and growth.
• Providing advisory services to our sales/business development leadership/teams, client account managers (CAMs) and CAM teams, Practice Managers, and offices in the assigned geography. • Reporting functionally to the Managing Geographical Director, US Government Relations Day-to-day, works hand-in-glove with the U.S. State & Local Client Sector Geographic Sales Leader and other regional sector leadership for the assigned geography and serves/supports/coaches the CAMs in that geography. • Devising and planning of political, public involvement, legislative, regulatory, and funding strategies in support of the CAMs and account strategies in the assigned geography. • Monitoring and analyzing various legislative and regulatory public policy issues of interest and assessing impact in CH2M’s business including collaboration with the U.S. Federal Government Relations team and National Governments & Private Sector Client Strategy & Sales organization, as appropriate. • Assisting Client Sector Regional leadership in hiring and managing all state and local lobbying professionals/advocates; monitoring and providing guidance on state and local lobbying compliance rules and regulations to Lobbyist/Advocate. • In concert with the assigned geography growth strategy and client account plans, build and enhance relationships with relevant organizations, state and local elected and appointed officials, as well as federally elected and appointed officials/ • Developing political action plans and strategies to gauge the political and community climate in support of State & Local Government Client Sector project opportunities and pursuits. • Representing the firm at various external client events and conferences including A&E industry, Elected & Appointed Officials, Political & Community organizations and other as deemed appropriate. • Forecasting election activity and coordinating political fundraising for state and local elected officials in coordination with the Client Sector Regional leadership and CAMs. Coordination with CH2M PAC when fundraising needs are appropriate. • Compiling all internal data related to political compliance reporting, including political contribution and gift data for preparation into required reports; coordinating with Sector personnel to compile all political compliance information as needed for disclosure within Request for Proposal (RFP) responses. • Coordinates and collaborates with the Corporate Brand, Marketing and Communications organization as appropriate on corporate reputation, corporate citizenship/ community relations, and overall brand enhancement and protection. • Key performance measures include service, political advice, and coaching for the assigned geography regional sector leadership, Sales Manager, CAMs, and client account teams; compliance; services and support enabling NGMI goal achievement for the assigned geography; overall CH2M brand protection in the assigned geography; and operating with the highest ethical standards and integrity.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communication or other related degree.
A minimum of 20 years related public relations, strategic communications, public affairs or equivalent experience.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:Master’s degree in Political Science, Communication or other related degree.
