Support CH2M’s DoD client’s Facilities Assessment projects using BUILDER and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As a Senior Project Manager / Business development professional you will be focused on the leadership and management of projects and programs for DoD Facilities Assessments. These projects and programs are aligned to the strategic markets and business objectives of the firm. The PM is responsible for delivery of multiple large projects. Technical, financial, strategic, team and client/external stakeholder levels of complexity are typically above average, with some aspects of higher complexity evident. This role has a demonstrated understanding and application of the knowledge and competencies required of a project manager; mastery of individual competencies evident in selected areas; a demonstrated understanding and application of the business development/project delivery process; and is familiar with most of the technologies and delivery methods underpinning the project solution to be delivered. This position is capable of managing a project outside of business group area of expertise, and understands how projects impact the business group and firm’s performance. The incumbent provides motivation and direction to the project team, typically through multiple task and/or functional managers. Decisions have a significant impact on the resource requirements, scope/schedule/sequence of project activities, client and/or team satisfaction, risk profile, quality, health/safety /environment, and financial performance of one or more projects, with commensurate impact observed at the business group level. You’ll act as one of the company’s prime contacts with multiple clients and is responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on the project. Works with business group project delivery leadership who provide oversight and mentoring. Supports the development of less experienced project managers through active coaching and mentoring. Specific duties include: • Thorough knowledge and experience with infrastructure and land development projects including building inventories and inspections, facility condition assessments, real property of installed equipment, high performance sustainable buildings and ASHRAE Level II energy audits, real property inventory, and space utilization surveys. • Use of BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS), including inventories, condition assessments and data entry using BUILDER Remote Entry Database, BUILDER RED (BRED). Project activities can also include obtaining and correlating existing building drawings, team calibration on BUILDER/BRED, preparing data collection devices, assessment of facility exterior, interior, and roof, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems (MEP) and providing scope and rough order of magnitude costs for needed repairs and condition index for each assessed facility. May also perform energy audits to identify energy and water conservation measures, and complete High Performance Sustainable Building checklists. • Leads and manages multidisciplinary project teams through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements. • Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that CH2M’s health, safety, environmental, quality, financial, risk management business and policy expectations are met. • Leads or plays a significant role in the business development activities leading to the award of the contracts/task orders. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • 15-20 years of experience, preferably with U.S. Military clients

  • PM experience using BUILDER Sustainment Management System (SMS) is required

  • Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, other closely related degree or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated capability to manage large projects of above average complexity.

  • Business development experience with federal clients

  • Current secret security clearance holder or able to obtain secret security clearance

  • US Citizenship required

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Certified Energy Manager a plus

  • PMP or equivalent

  • PE Professional Engineer

  • Experience using BUILDER RED (BRED)

  • Extensive department of Defense experience

  • Graduate Degree

  • Demonstrated capability to manage large projects of above average complexity.
