CH2M Electrical Design Technician in Corvallis, Oregon

Our Electrical CAD Technician position is your chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale construction designs for industrial, water, government, and military projects. Each day, you will work on a multi-discipline, highly interactive and coordinated team preparing drawings and sketches using CAD workstations, appropriate design criteria, and technical manuals often working closely with engineers to coordinate designs. You will have deep knowledge of procedures and technical concepts within the electrical and telecom disciplines, and understand regulations and standards for your area. You will also evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and drawing conclusions. You should be a self-motivated professional with an interest in electrical design, and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each job.

Our CAD Technicians: • Have knowledge of basic drafting practices. • Are familiar with CAD principles (i.e., text placement and editing, layering, snap, precision input, etc). • Have the ability to perform basic geometric and trigonometric calculations and use basic drafting equipment. • Are able to communicate with team members to understand objectives, expectations, and preferred methods, proactively identify changes or issues, and ask questions that foster the development of self and team. • Organize their own assignments to ensure deadlines are met. • Work under direct supervision, prepare electronic drawing files within project standards, using sketches, layouts, project instructions and notes. • Have experience working with AutoCAD, Revit, or Microstation, and Microsoft Office.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:• 2-5 years’ experience working with AutoCAD or Microstation or both • Experience with 3D modeling software such as Microstation, Revit, or AECOsim • Experience with Microsoft Office

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Associate’s Degree

2-5 years working with Microstation, Revit, and/or Projectwise
