Our DFW Rail Construction Team is searching for an Experienced Transit and Rail Construction Manager. The Transit/Rail Construction Manager candidate shall lead the delivery of rail and transit construction projects. They will oversee a team of Construction Management Professionals, Resident Engineers and Construction Support personnel in project construction activities. This role requires a strong understanding of rail construction and familiarity with the technologies and delivery methods for the project.

Various tasks, responsibilities and contributions:

  • Has demonstrated the capability to manage medium construction projects of average to high complexity

  • Acts as one of the company’s prime contacts with the client and is responsible for overall construction work progress and technical performance on the project

  • Works closely with Sector/Enterprise construction management and project delivery leadership who provide oversight and mentoring

  • Leads and manages the construction project team through site mobilization, execution, and demobilization activities, consistent with established project delivery processes to ensure the orderly, efficient, and timely completion of the project scope in accordance with requirements specified in the contract documents

  • Onsite activities may include construction supervision, field administration, procurement, and field engineering

  • Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that CH2M’s HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met

  • May play a role in the business development activities leading to the award of the contract, this could include client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, orals presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Minimum of 12 years experience with heavy, light and rail construction management projects

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

  • Must be proficient with MS Office, Word, and Excel, and possess working knowledge of SharePoint and other collaborative software systems

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • CCM

  • Professional Engineering License (PE)

  • Experience with Texas based transit and rail projects
