As an Inside Sales Manager, you will be an integral part of CH2M’s Inside Sales organization and will partner with our Market Sector staff to plan and lead a variety of strategic business development assignments and to position CH2M for success. In this position, you will partner with our CH2M Market Sectors on a variety of business development assignments, ranging from qualifications statements to strategic, complex proposals and presentations. During your time with us you will:
Manage large and often strategic/major sales efforts and activities for Texas and transportation clients
Lead the development of winning sales deliverables (SOQ/proposals and interview presentations), serving as the “project manager” for sales related activities
Work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment to help position and win strategic projects and help deliver the resources and skills of CH2M
Positively motivate and work in partnership with high-performance technical and sales teams
Actively engage with pursuit teams on sales process discipline, win strategy and SOQ/proposal development, interviews, and presentations
Develop and implement pursuit plans to respond to client requests for proposals, presentations, and other information
Work with client service managers and pursuit team to provide input on teaming partner and subconsultant selection
Implement the CH2M brand in all documentation
Train others (sales and technical staff), be a team player and provide quality customer service
Build and maintain internal client network

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Business, technical/scientific discipline, or related field from an accredited university
7-10 years of experience managing and developing complex proposals, presentations, and related sales or business development deliverables
Sales and marketing leadership experience in the engineering, and/or construction industries
Advanced English writing, editing and proofreading skills, with an eye towards sales messaging, themes, proposal aesthetics, and content
Previous experience and success with increasing proposal development and production efficiency, particularly as it relates to lowering the costs of sales efforts while maintaining or increasing the win rate
Strong leadership qualities; able to manage and direct pursuit teams, help drive the sales process, and coordinate/negotiate with teams both in person and remotely
Well organized, able to manage multiple tasks concurrently and engage with various stakeholders/reviewers
Ability to work with diverse teams, from junior Inside Sales staff to senior company leaders
Ability to lead a pursuit team, establish and communicate a plan, motivate the team, connect the dots within a company to offer solutions, and produce high quality outcomes
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Knowledge of company markets, partner/competitor/subconsultant firms, clients, emerging business, and industry trends; and the ability to actively integrate that knowledge in work activities
Sales and marketing (strategy, SOQ/proposal and interview development) leadership experience for Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and Dallas Area Rapid Transit
