CH2M Account and Senior Transit/Rail Market Project Manager-Denver, CO in Englewood, Colorado

Lead transit and rail programs and pursuits in the Denver Metro Area and have a role in transforming tomorrow.

CH2M is searching for an established Account and Senior Transit/Rail Market Project Manager to manage our relationship with and programs in support of the Regional Transportation District (RTD). This position is based at our corporate headquarters in Englewood, Colorado. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deepen and manage CH2M’s relationship with RTD to best align our service offering with RTD’s near term and long term needs in planning, design, construction management, program management, systems engineering, vehicle engineering, asset management and other services, as well as other technical and policy support services

  • Grow the Denver Metro transit and rail practice and mentor/develop staff involved with the planning and design of transit/rail facilities and services (including subway, bus, commuter rail, and other transit projects) and coordinate with CH2M’s regional and global transit practice leadership

  • Serve as a project or program manager for major transit projects capitalizing on your technical knowledge and/or client relationships

  • Apply knowledge and experience with transit projects such as engineering services, consultant construction management (CCM), planning/NEPA, and/or design of large multi-discipline projects or medium sized projects with high degrees of technical complexity involving a large group of project staff

  • Provide meaningful growth opportunities and training/mentoring opportunities for staff and recognize the importance of an engaged/fulfilled staff that likes their workplace and their company

  • Provide marketing and outreach in the transit market sector to clients and other stakeholders

  • Establish/foster teaming relationships with other consulting firms and must be an effective client manager

  • Serve as a high level point of contact between RTD and CH2M

  • Work with Business, Accounting Managers, Project Controllers and CH2M management as needed to drive our growing business relationship with RTD, etc

  • Responsible for quality management process and procedures on RTD projects for consistent high quality client service

  • Be the point of contact for all proposal management efforts in relation to the transit and rail areas of the RTD account

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Demonstrated relationships with RTD executive and principal level leadership as well as a history of exceeding client expectations

  • Ability to demonstrate confidence with being viewed as a leader, RTD Account Manager, technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems

  • Ability to demonstrate effective task management skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Planning, Business, or related field

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the transit engineering/planning/consulting industry

  • Must be a strong team leader consensus builder and team player skilled in technical writing communicating and presenting to clients

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in multimodal transportation planning and design

  • Ability to demonstrate regional and local planning and implementation knowledge

  • Position requires extensive public involvement, agency and stakeholder coordination, planning and programming experience

  • Must be able to work with office/corporate leaders to develop strategies for key hiring pursuits, key project pursuits, team growth, office growth, profitability, employee development and employee satisfaction

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Skilled in transit design, planning and/or operations or consulting

  • Advanced degree(s)

  • Experience with FTA is a desire

  • BRT knowledge and skills

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience in rail and bus planning/community integration
