Our Leader of Process - Mechanical Engineering job will provide you the opportunity to supervise staff on a wide range of oil and gas and chemical projects.
Each day you will lead a professional engineering/design team and make independent decisions that will assure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of our clients. You should be a self-motivated registered professional Chemical Engineer with a 20+ year record of accomplishment in a process engineering design position and a desire to grow personally and professionally with each process engineering job. Our Lead of Process Engineering: · Determines long-range plans and objectives for the Process - Mechanical Engineering group in concert with corporate objectives and the Manager of Talent · Is a well-recognized face to the industry as a subject matter expert · Assures that design–engineering services are commensurate with professional standards, client requirements and corporate objectives · Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations · Approves discipline estimates for projects · Assists in developing process scope of work and process effort hour estimates · Ensures Design Basis, Scope, Budget and Deliverables are documented and approved before executing work on an approved project. · Participates in meetings with Clients and project teams to establish project objectives and to coordinate and or resolve design problems · Interfaces with Project Managers and Manager of Talent to determine specific project staffing needs and makes staffing assignments · Facilitates recruiting and retention activities for the process team · Assists with interviews and selection of new hires, and oversees training of new employees · Establishes performance expectations for all assigned employees and progress review sessions based on feedback · Coordinates with Manager of Talent mid-year and annual performance appraisal reviews · Drives the professional development of the process team · Supports business development activities to meet the company objectives · Support, grow and mentor assigned staff · Drive continuous improvement activities · Works well in a collaborative environment
The minimum qualifications for this position are:· Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering · Minimum 20 years of experience in Upstream, Midstream and Refining Projects. · 5-years in a leadership role. · Recognized as an Oil & Gas industry leader in gas and liquids processing. · Experience working in Conceptual study, FEED, EPC, EPCM, and process optimization on oil, gas and chemical projects · Working knowledge of Aspen, HYSYS, ProVision, and IPrism software · Knowledgeable of Process Safety Management best practice. · Knowledgeable of industry and regulated standards and design criteria · Expert knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, and application of methods, PFD, P&ID, plant layout, materials, and computer based process engineering calculations.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:PE - Professional Engineering License
