CH2M Water Engineer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
CH2M’s Ft. Lauderdale State & Local Governments Team seeks a Water Engineer who wants to make a difference in their community and through solving the exciting engineering challenges facing CH2M’s water clients.
We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to work on a variety of water treatment projects. This position will primarily support senior level engineers and project managers to conduct water treatment facility pilots, evaluations, design, and commissioning. Each day, you will be an important team member as you participate in the design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. Our senior engineers are committed to strong mentorship and providing opportunities to work independently and with peers. You should be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project while delivering transformative projects for our clients, in our diverse and fast-paced office. Our Water Treatment Engineers: · Work under the supervision of senior level engineers. · Perform a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. · Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals. · Prepare planning documents, reports, studies, and calculations. · Provide field investigation and water quality testing of full scale water treatment facilities. · Prepare models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities. · Operate pilot water treatment facilities and commission full-scale water treatment facilities. · Possess an outgoing and positive attitude, are dependable and meet all assigned project deadlines.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an environmental engineering specialty or a related engineering discipline. · 0 to 2 years of relevant water treatment engineering experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:· Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering with an environmental engineering specialty or a related engineering discipline. · Engineer in Training (EIT) · Previous intern or professional experience with a consulting firm serving water municipal clients · Graduate level research examining water treatment processes especially membrane or ion exchange technology · Strong technical writing skills · Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams
