CH2M Entry-Level Process Mechanical Engineer in Gainesville, Florida

Our Entry Level Process Mechanical Engineer jobs will provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting water design projects. You will work on process mechanical systems for municipal projects, such as water and wastewater treatment plants.
In addition, you will also gain mechanical engineering experience with Design-Build projects and Project Delivery. Each day, you will be an important team member as you participate in the design, coordination, and execution of process mechanical projects for our clients, under the guidance of senior staff and through multiple opportunities to work independently and with peers. You should be a self-motivated professional, team focused individual with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, an EIT and a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each process mechanical engineering job. Our Entry Level Process Mechanical Engineers: •Work under the supervision of senior level engineers. •Perform routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. •Prepare engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities involving mechanical systems. •Learn how to design water and wastewater process mechanical systems. The systems would include pumps, valve controls, aeration blowers, conveyors, instrumentation, chemical storage and feed systems, and others. •Become knowledgeable in the development of design criteria, conceptual, preliminary, and final design documents associated with mechanical systems. •Learn codes and standards related to design of wastewater and industrial facilities and systems. •Prepare reports, studies, and calculations. •Possess an outgoing and positive attitude, are dependable and meet all assigned project deadlines. •Participate in achieving a Target Zero safety plan. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
0-2 years experience as an Mechanical Engineer
Minimum 3.0 GPA Must have EIT or have recently taken the FE examination
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Good writing and oral presentation skills and prior experience preparing technical specifications, reports and/or proposal documents
