CH2M Pacific Defense Sales Manager - Honolulu, HI in Honolulu, Hawaii

As the Pacific Defense Sales Manager for the United States Department of Defense and other United States government program clients, you will actively manage and grow these accounts.

You should bring your experience with and understanding of the United States Government Department of Defense and other Defense Agencies and programs in the Asia-Pacific region, in the environmental, design, operations & maintenance and construction industries. Building upon your current relationships and networks with USACE Pacific Ocean Division, USACE Hawaii District, USACE Alaska District, USACE Far East District, USACE Japan District, PACAF, AFCEC, PACOM, NAVFAC Pacific, NAVFAC Marianas, NAVFAC Hawaii, NAVFAC Marianas, and NAVFAC Far East, you will lead and participate in developing an Asia-Pacific client account strategy. This strategy will include developing client relationships and networking; client engagement and marketing plans; competitor differentiators; and the addressable market to grow and increase market share across CH2M service offerings. Your professional experience should have developed an understanding of, and relationships with, Host Nation programs to include execution in Australia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, India, Philippines, Thailand, Diego Garcia and other countries that U.S. Forces may operate in the Asia Pacific region. You should be well-known to clients with a pre-existing network of relationships to include other contractors in the environmental, engineering and construction industry . Our Pacific Defense Sales Manager is responsible for:

  • Operations, profit and loss management and sales for assigned market.

  • Program and project management delivery systems.

  • Reviewing and negotiating contracts and terms and conditions and profit and loss structures at the contract, program and project levels.

  • Operating in a multi-cultural, bi/tri lingual environment in Asia-Pacific region.

  • Ensuring compliance with the US Government FAR acquisition and procurement process for A/E IDIQ contracts (SF 330s) and FAR 15 Contracts, IDIQ’s and standalone contracts that the US Government may use to execute work in the Asia-Pacific region.

  • Identifying contracts well in advance, responding to RFPs/solicitations, interviewing and winning new work.

Working with other members of our team, you’ll lead and participate in proposal efforts; support business development teams in client development initiatives and pursuits; and serve as Account, Project and Program Manager for Department of Defense clients in the Asia-Pacific region. During your time with us, you will also have the opportunity to lead and participate in business and client development tasks, including sales meetings and presentations, proposal development, and overall account management; work collaboratively with business development, technology, project delivery, project management, program management, and project review teams; coach junior and mid-level staff in account management, business development, project delivery, project management, program management, and project review practices; and travel domestically and internationally to meet with clients and develop/expand CH2M’s project portfolio. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • B.S. or M.S. in architecture or engineering

  • Registered PE or RA in the United States or other countries with equivalent professional registrations

  • Languages - English and Japanese

  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, client account management, project management, program management and associated procurements within the US and globally

  • US Government client and engineering and construction contractor contacts in the Pacific market

  • US Department of Defense background with significant experience in the Asia-Pacific geographical region

  • Understanding of the engineering and construction industry for the following markets: environmental, facilities and infrastructure, aviation services, water and wastewater, and urban development and social programs and planning.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of US Forces in Korea, Japan, Australia and Philippines

  • Korean language skills
