CH2M Air Quality Technologist Professional - Houston, TX in Houston, Texas

This key role will act as a strategic resource, trusted advisor and project manager in all tasks and programs related to the delivery of air quality and permitting projects.

As an Air Quality Technologist, you will contribute to the pursuit, capture, management and execution of air and other environmental, health, safety, and sustainability business projects with varied industries, including chemical, refinery, energy, and oil and gas with a focus on the Texas and Gulf Coast geography. Working with other members of our team, you will be the face of CH2M as you lead the development and delivery of these approaches to support our consulting work. During your time with us, you will also be expected to serve as the primary contact in sustained relationships with clients, achieve complete client satisfaction with our work, and fully leverage our relationship to benefit the client and the firm. Our Air Quality Technologists:

  • Act as a strategic resource, trusted advisor and project manager in all tasks and programs related to the delivery of air quality and permitting projects.

  • Lead/support business development & proposal activities (writing, estimating and or presenting) for air quality and permitting services in Texas and the Gulf Coast.

  • Operate as part of a client service or client account team member to cultivate client relationships, business growth strategies for targeted clients located in Texas and the Gulf Coast.

  • Provide senior review and QA/QC support for project deliverables as appropriate.

  • Serve as a technical resource on advances in practices and/or new or modified applicable laws and regulations for air quality.

  • Network within industry organizations, technical seminars, and trade shows, including the delivery of technical presentations.

  • Interpret environmental regulations affecting the industry and translate applicable requirements into strategic, cost-effective compliance approaches.

  • Travel to client sites and offices for meetings will be required for this role.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • BS in Engineering and Sciences including, but not limited to, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Environmental Engineering.

  • 15 years’ experience writing and communicating complex technical reports, proposals, and presentations with an emphasis on air quality.

  • Current and relevant Consultant work experience, with a focus on stationary source permitting support, estimating emissions, Title V reporting, development of source category specific emission factors, regulatory compliance analyze and emission reporting for various federal and commercial facilities in Texas.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Effectively work on multiple projects/tasks, and be able to communicate daily with staff and managers in other offices.

  • Experience in the petrochemical, refinery, energy and/or oil and gas exploration industry.

  • Provide high quality analysis and application of rules and regulations for environmental regulatory compliance.
