As a HS&E Professional you will support the implementation of CH2M's HS&E program and occupational safety and health regulations on assigned projects. Responsibilities will include:
Conduct reviews of potential risks on project and identifies potential mitigation measures.
Oversees the implementation of the project Field Safety Instructions (FSI), ensures safety planning (Task Hazard Analysis, Daily Pre-Task Planning) is being conducted and documented, and reviews them for quality and completeness and conducts audits and reviews of project/program.
Assist in investigation of incidents and complaints concerning HS&E risks on the project/program, maintain working knowledge of specific requirements imposed by governmental agencies and CH2M policies and procedures.
Provide regulatory and policy review and interpretation and technical advice and recommendation of improvements to HS&E tools, processes, policies, and training.
Job Specifications & Scope of Responsibility: This is a project hire position to be located at natural disaster and/or emergency response locations. Majority of time will be spent on project sites. Travel/lodging benefits may be provided.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Education, Experience, & Certifications:
BS in industrial hygiene, safety, or related field preferred or 4 additional years of experience; MS preferred; 24 semester hours of study from the following disciplines: safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, or engineering. Strong preference will be given to graduates of applicable ABET accredited programs.
Minimum of 10 years experience required.
30 hr OSHA Construction Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
Five (5) years of continuous construction industry safety experience in supervising/ managing general construction (managing safety programs or processes or conducting hazard analyses and developing controls)
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
HSE experience in natural disaster or emergency response settings is desirable.
CSP or CIH desirable.
