CH2M Highway/Roadway Project Manager - Los Angeles, CA in Los Angeles, California

Our Project Manager jobs provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging infrastructure projects.

Each day, you will have the opportunity to utilize your transportation planning and roadway design expertise to lead transportation-related projects. This position will allow you to use your technical experience, manage projects, lead project teams, and mentor junior staff. You should be a self-motivated professional with 10-15 years of related experience along with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. Registration as a PE in the state of California is required (or the ability to become registered within three months). Having project experience and client relationships in the greater Los Angeles is preferred. This position also requires a technical design background in at least one of the following areas: transportation, highway/roadway drainage, highway design, traffic engineering, as well as familiarity with Caltrans and City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering, Department of Water Power, Department of Transportation and Bureau of Street Lighting design standards. Extensive knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design Software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation Inroads) is a plus. Our ideal candidate has business development and project management experience, strong written and oral communication skills, exhibits team leadership as well as a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project management and engineering project. Our Roadway Design Engineers/Project Managers: • Have strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude • Perform engineering design and/or engineering reviews for transportation projects • Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages • Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing transportation projects • Coordinate design activities and meetings between staff, subcontractors, CH2M, and agency leads • Lead projects and design teams • Lead and support safety plan implementation • Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety and organization of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff • Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance • Identify schedule and cost variances and develops and implement recommendations for corrective action • Help grow the Project Manager resources of the firm through the coaching of others and participating in the development and delivery of learning events • Interact with CH2M project teams and client program level directors • Complete tasks within schedule and budget with teams comprised of different disciplines

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

10-15 years of related experience

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering

Registration as a PE in the state of California (or the ability to become registered within three months)
