To assist in those efforts, CH2M is looking for a highly motivated project manager to work on a variety of exciting wastewater and water projects in the greater Miami area to include managing tasks associated with the planning, design, and construction of improvements at water and wastewater treatment facilities. Under the direction and guidance of senior leadership, this position will be responsible for leading project teams in exceptional delivery of projects involving planning, preliminary design, detailed design, and periodic on-site construction observation. Other project management responsibilities will include client engagement related to assigned projects, ensuring compliance with CH2M best practices and procedures, quality assurance/quality control, and project financial performance. Serve as the leader/manager of project teams, supported by technical task leaders and sub-consultants, as needed Our Water/Wastewater Project Managers: Work under the supervision of senior leaders and senior project managers to lead multi-disciplined engineering teams on a variety of assigned projects. Perform a wide variety of routine water and wastewater treatment facility assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Contribute and lead the preparation technical reports, engineering specifications, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities. Assist client organizations in review of designs, studies, and reports prepared by other consultants. Ensure that CH2M’s business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management. Are accountable for successfully delivering projects to the satisfaction of our clients and key stakeholders. Be a team builder to motivate, support, and guide staff to successfully perform their roles, improve their skills, and act as an integral member of the entire project team. Provide inspection and other services during construction to include shop drawing reviews, responses to information requests by contractors, and other general construction administration services. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Licensed professional engineer (PE) in Florida or or PE with the ability to gain reciprocity.

  • Minimum 10 years of competency in working with municipal water and wastewater facilities in engineering roles

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience

  • Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics

  • A proven history leading and managing project teams to successfully meet client expectations

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • M.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline strongly preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis & technical problem solving, strong organizational skills.

  • Bilingual in Spanish in verbal and written communication.

  • Experience in serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including water, wastewater, water resources, consulting, design, and construction services.

  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams
