CH2M Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Nashville, Tennessee

The open position is for a project manager with a strong water/wastewater engineering background in the municipal industry to support our Nashville office and serve primarily water and wastewater-related client services. The position will also serve to assist with delivering projects and serving and developing clients. The successful candidate will ensure CH2M has a sustained relationship with clients, achieves complete client satisfaction with our work and fully leverages our relationship to benefit the client and the firm.Key responsibilities include the following: direct communications with clients on technical design topics and project schedule/budget/scope; leading project teams and communicating between diverse design disciplines; developing, staffing, and coordinating effective quality management processes for each project; establishing long-term client relationships and supporting business development activities to grow the business. Candidates should be self-motivated, detailed oriented, quality driven, team-focused. Our Water/Wastewater Project Managers:• Serve as the leader/manager of project teams, supported by technical task leaders and sub-consultants, as needed• Oversee detail designs, project schedules, and budget management. • Participate in the generation of proposals, scopes, schedules and budgets. • Balance a combination of business development, client relationship management and project delivery work• Ensure that CH2M is the client's consultant-of-choice, that we have a thorough understanding of the client's consulting needs and are seen as their best advocate for accomplishing their goals• Understand the client's organization and decision-making styles and process • Develop and maintain consistent relationships with key decision-makers within the client organization and political levels• Identify opportunities to influence and create the client’s perception of CH2M• Develop strategies to expose the client to the full-range of capabilities offered by CH2M• Maintain an understanding of regulations, competitors, and external drivers that may affect our clients

The minimum qualifications for this position are:● Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline● Eight (8) years competency in working with municipal clients in water, wastewater, water resources, and/or conveyance design projects as an engineer and/or project manager● Possesses an understanding of regulations, competitors, and external drivers that may affect clients in the Tennessee market● Professional Engineering license in the State of Tennessee or the ability to obtain reciprocity

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:● Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline● Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams● Demonstrate superior client service/maintenance skills and ability to develop strategies for client base growth in a competitive market● Involved with local professional societies● Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, and strong data analysis & technical problem solving expertise
