Our NYC consulting team is searching for a Transit and Rail Business Process Analyst to help our clients plan and achieve goals and objectives they have tasked us with solving. This position will support public transit clients with tasks related to conducting comprehensive business process reviews of various areas, including finance, operations, human resources, procurement, etc. The position will support the team and client work to identify and determine those areas requiring process improvements as well as identifying any information technology systems, which could facilitate the reengineering efforts. Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluating and documenting current processes
Analyzing current processes to identify risks, redundancies, overlaps, inefficiencies, as well as to offer alternatives for business process reengineering
Developing system and operation models to use in developing new processes for various tasks and responsibilities
Cost analyses for proposed business processes reengineering; implementing proposed business processes reengineering; etc
Work with project teams and clients to support the reviews and any proposed transformation changes to help achieve the clients’ business goals and objectives

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Undergraduate or higher degree in engineering, computer science, transportation planning or related field
Minimum five years of experience conducting business process reviews and reengineering as well as supporting either technology project development or other transportation research
Must be able to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
Experience with business process reengineering, transportation planning or related research, including a basic understanding of transit funding, finances and economics
Have strong analytic and quantitative skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Direct experience working with transportation agencies on strategy, economic or technology projects
Experience in client, task, schedule, and financial management
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with a broad spectrum of team members at all organizational levels
Demonstrated experience in delivering written reports summarizing research or technical outcomes
Knowledge of business process requirements
Proficiency with industry-standard database software and key business process related software
