CH2M is currently initiating a search for a Transit and Rail Resident Engineer for our Oakland Transit and Rail Group. This person will be responsible for coordination and supervision of a staff of professionals and technicians and be a key piece to bringing the world class solutions our clients have grown to expect from our team. Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively coordinate and supervise the work of a transit system staff professionals and technicians during the entire project to complete project documents/plans/analysis on schedule
Perform field quality control observations, assessments and reports
Review Change Order Cost Estimates and RFI’s and communicate with the Construction Manager
Ensure compliance to the project specifications and design drawings
Clearly document Project progress through digital photographs and other means
Provide technical advice to field staff in order to ensure that construction procedures are being properly carried out

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Minimum 10 years of experience of hands-on experience and understanding of the technical, financial and community issues associated with constructing a major capital improvement program relevant to the BRT Program
Must be a strong team leader consensus builder and team player skilled in technical writing communicating and presenting to clients
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
BA/BS Degree in construction management
California PE License
Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) are highly desirable
Proficiency with Caltrans Standards, Caltrans Construction Manual and transit agency standards
