CH2M Administrative Assistant - Edgewater, NJ in Parsippany, New Jersey
This position will perform advanced administrative support tasks with minimal supervision, and the primary area of responsibility will be to support individual members of the project delivery construction team. This project role will be full time through approximately August 2018, and the client site is located in Edgewater, New Jersey, where this position will report to a trailer at the construction site.
The successful candidate will be able to think on their feet, work with minimal supervision, multitask effectively as well as utilize independent judgment, and have the initiative to take on new tasks and challenges every day. You should possess excellent skills using Adobe, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn CH2M project management tools (proprietary software such as Project Insight/ Snapshot and SharePoint through Project Insight), procedures, and practices. The daily tasks are frequently complex, proprietary, and require strong organization/administrative skills, as well as excellent communication skills. You should have the ability to work well and professionally under numerous deadlines, as well as a desire to grow both personally and professionally with each project delivery opportunity. Construction management/ assistance experience is a plus but not required.
Our Administrative Assistants:
Prepare meeting notes, document change orders, document tracking of items, and general day to day detailed tasks, and ongoing assignments.
Adapt to processes and procedures as necessary to meet objectives and receives work in the form of expected deliverables.
Apply judgment in determining work methods and balancing competing priorities.
Possess thorough knowledge of a broad range of activities and procedures in construction and works under general guidance to evaluate situations and select the correct solution.
Work well and professionally under numerous deadlines, and interface with the client on a daily basis.
Possess excellent skills using Adobe, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
High School Diploma.
We will accept a minimum of 5 years of administrative support experience.
Proficiency in Adobe, Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
6-10 years of administrative support experience.
Construction management assistance experience is a plus, but not required.
