Our Philadelphia aviation team is growing and has a need for an Experienced Aviation Design Engineer. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for working with a group of aviation design professionals to deliver design solutions for civilian, military, and private client projects of varying complexity and size anywhere in the world. Duties and Responsibilities (under the direction of a Project Manager):

  • Act as a design/task manager in the development and delivery of airfield projects for civilian, governmental, and private entities

  • Oversee and assist in the preparation of engineering design drawings using CAD and CAE tools

  • Oversee and support development and execution of investigative services, permitting, design, and construction of aviation projects

  • Oversee and assist in the development of quantities, cost estimates, plans, specifications and engineering reports

  • Oversee and perform construction management duties

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Four-year degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience on aviation-centric civil or electrical engineering projects

  • Ability to demonstrate progressive experience as a designer for aviation projects

  • Ability to demonstrate experience working with CAD and CAE tools and work products in the preparation of aviation projects

  • Ability to demonstrate experience with the development of reports, plans and specifications using FAA, UFC, or ICAO criteria

  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification in the United States (or ability to gain reciprocity)

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Advanced degree in civil or electrical engineering

  • Airfield construction experience

  • Design for design builder or design-build experience

  • International/OCONUS experience
