Support Structural Engineering activities in the Portland office, while learning new concepts and being mentored by a team of top professionals in their field.
Our Entry Level Structural Engineer role provides you the opportunity to work on state of the art facilities. You will be a part of a team working on projects that make our clients successful today, while helping them develop and capitalize on emerging technologies. You should be a self-motivated individual with a passion and desire to grow professionally, as well as personally with each new assignment. You should be a detail-oriented professional, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural, and minimum of 0-3 years’ experience in engineering design and technical support. This will be a great opportunity for the right individual to learn and grow from a team of outstanding professionals’ in their field.
Our Entry Level Structural Engineers:
Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and process to develop designs.
Analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs.
Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials, primarily steel and concrete.
Exercise judgment required in developing plans or alternatives and work with mentors to assure quality plans.
Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.
Review construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents.
Provide redlines to technicians on a project-by-project basis.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an Emphasis in Structural.
We will accept 0-3 years’ experience in engineering design and technical support.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Experience in Semi-conductor industrial or general industrial facilities.
Excellent communication skill set, both written and verbal.
Able to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Work well within collaborative teams.
Welcome mentorship and guidance from staff.
