Support Structural Engineering activities in the Portland office, while learning new concepts and being mentored by a team of top professionals in their field.

Our Entry Level Structural Engineer role provides you the opportunity to work on state of the art facilities. You will be a part of a team working on projects that make our clients successful today, while helping them develop and capitalize on emerging technologies. You should be a self-motivated individual with a passion and desire to grow professionally, as well as personally with each new assignment. You should be a detail-oriented professional, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural, and minimum of 0-3 years’ experience in engineering design and technical support. This will be a great opportunity for the right individual to learn and grow from a team of outstanding professionals’ in their field.

Our Entry Level Structural Engineers:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines such as mechanical, electrical and process to develop designs.

  • Analyze structures using various structural engineering software programs.

  • Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials, primarily steel and concrete.

  • Exercise judgment required in developing plans or alternatives and work with mentors to assure quality plans.

  • Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.

  • Review construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents.

  • Provide redlines to technicians on a project-by-project basis.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with an Emphasis in Structural.

  • We will accept 0-3 years’ experience in engineering design and technical support.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in Semi-conductor industrial or general industrial facilities.

  • Excellent communication skill set, both written and verbal.

  • Able to thrive in a fast paced environment.

  • Work well within collaborative teams.

  • Welcome mentorship and guidance from staff.
