To support air and other environmental, health, safety, and sustainability business projects with varied industries, including petrochemical, refinery, energy, and oil and gas.
Our junior Air Quality Modeler careers provide you with an opportunity to work on challenging environmental compliance projects to support project teams in our Air Quality Compliance Practice. As a member of our high performing project teams, you will develop a broad set of skills related to the field of environmental regulatory compliance, as well as related fields, under the guidance of senior staff and through multiple opportunities to work independently and with peers. Looking someone who has a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each new environmental compliance specialist project. Ability to work independently on multiple opportunities as a teaming partner and participate in a mentoring process under the guidance of senior staff and peers. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess the ability to communicate projects outcomes with clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, internal team members, and members of the community during public meetings. The minimum qualifications for this position are:• Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, or related science. • Be a self-motivated professional with up to three years of experience with environmental compliance activities for federal or industrial clients. • Ability to travel up to 50% time may be required depending on project demand.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:• Master’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering, or a BS in related science. • Experience with various models such as AERMOD, AERSCREEN, CALPUFF, VISCREEN, PLUVUE and/or SLAB. • Experience with functional programming (e.g., Python, R, etc.). • Working knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), General Conformity, Transportation Conformity, and other federal and state laws and regulations, particularly as they relate to air quality compliance for power plants, compressor station, electrical utility, and industrial projects.
