Provide strategic direction, innovation, and practice leadership expertise for our industry leading facilities and infrastructure projects, operations and programs.
Our Global Practice Director position is a senior facilities and infrastructure leadership role that leads and builds the senior management consulting, planning, design, construction, operations, and business strategy aspects of our world-wide Facilities and Infrastructure Practice. Additionally, the position contributes to both the business growth strategies through sales engagements, and technical thought leadership. The position also supports the strategic growth planning of the sector through annual practice reviews with the sector’s executive leadership team and president. Each day, you will play a major client-facing role in business development engagements and strategic program engagements. The incoming Practice Director will extend his or her knowledge of built environment, multi-discipline planning architectural and engineering design, construction, operations and management, contingency and logistics solutions to create successful integrated strategies and appropriate business opportunities for the organization. You will directly lead a five-person practice leadership team of advanced facility planning and design, energy management, asset management, operations management, contingency and logistics professionals. Are recognized within their markets and the industry as iconic, innovative, and practice thought leaders.
Have deep networks within industry organizations to aggressively establish and expand the global client base in the principal practice areas of the sector and firm.
Provide executive level technical reviews and innovative solutions for all complex programs and projects within their practice to ensure total client satisfaction.
Build CH2M’s image and professional reputation with the management, control and execution of all competencies associated with the facilities and infrastructure practice.
Assure practice resources and assets remain industry leading through strategic investment in the following areas: hiring of technology leaders, providing training for staff at all levels, tool box development and refinement, and cross-practice sharing of information and lessons learned.

Promote culture of accountability for program and project managers in their sub-practice areas for effective integration of practice resources, value creation, return on investment, and profit optimization.
Provide highly effective, dynamic management and leadership to CH2M’s world-wide facilities and infrastructure staff.

Desirable and solid experience would be a plus.
Support the development and delivery of a detailed business growth strategy that aligns with the customer’s mission, vision and objectives and the firm’s strategic direction.
Ensure CH2M is positioned for large, long-term program and services opportunities.
Contribute to and brief pursue/no pursuit and bid/no bid recommendations and develop pursuit strategies for new business opportunities.
Manage the funding sources associated with the development of the practice, the acquisition of new technologies, internal communities of practice, and strategic hires.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Professional Registration as an engineer or architect
Role requires approximately 65% travel.
Masters degree in a technical discipline and significant (20 years) facilities and infrastructure planning consulting, design, construction, and operations experience.
Solid working knowledge in three or more of these areas: multi-disciplinary engineering, infrastructure planning and design, facility planning and design, installation or campus planning and operations, energy management and renewables, construction of infrastructure or facilities.
Able to demonstrate significant experience capturing infrastructure or facilities programs and developing the innovative technical input for winning competitive proposals.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
20-30 years in a specific discipline preferred.
Publication and presentation experience desirable.
Able to demonstrate proven leadership qualities including a self-directing work approach, high energy, and ability to function effectively in large complex organizations, have a strong track record of managing within budget allocations, strong marketing skills with ability to attract subordinates to the practice area.
Able to demonstrate a desire to market effectively both new and existing clients, and be able to establish a solid working relationship with customers, technical staff, managers, subcontractors and peers.
