Lead the Client Account Management function for the Carolinas and have a hand in transforming tomorrow.

As a Client Account Manager for North and South Carolina you will have the opportunity to impact strategic business relationships with several State and Local Government clients in the area to ensure that CH2M has a sustained relationship with those client(s) to achieve complete client satisfaction with work, and fully leverage the relationship to benefit the client and the firm. Working with members of our team you will focus is to make sure that CH2M is the client’s consultant-of-choice, and that the company has a thorough understanding of the client’s needs and is seen as their best advocate for accomplishing their goals. During your time with us you will:

  • Represent CH2M to the client in a positive, caring, solutions-delivery approach by engaging the broader firm

  • Work with client service management (CSM) teams to develop and implement business development strategies

  • Manage business development budgets for client work plans and sales pursuits

  • Identify, charter, and lead multi-practice/regional teams around common vision of success

  • Secure management commitment and influence/attract key staff for pursuits

  • Advocate on client's behalf by actively engaging the firm to address client needs, and recommend strategic actions to optimize our investment for new business and wallet share growth

  • Facilitate creation of at least 10 different, deep, personal, valuable client relationships between CH2M personnel and client personnel (management, technical, functional, delivery) to weave a fabric of broad-based relationships between our firms

  • Develop trust and credibility with client by engaging in business discussions to formulate winning and portfolio diversification solutions

  • Identify higher levels of client engagement for executive sponsors

  • Actively engage with Outside and Inside Sales to influence pursuit team on sales process discipline, win strategy and proposal development, interviews and presentation

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • BS degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or other related engineering field

  • 15 years of experience associated with Client Account Relationship Management/Sales

  • Fifteen (15) years competency in working with municipal and/or state agency clients in engineering or project management roles

  • Fifteen (15) years of experience in written and verbal communication of project plans and presentations

  • Seven (7) years of experience leading and managing project teams on consulting projects, and or client service management teams on business development activities

  • Experience in serving local and state government clients on a broad range of infrastructure services, including water, transportation, public works, aviation, ports and environmental

  • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Master’s degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline

  • Experience in developing and delivering projects in aviation markets, preferably with North Carolina airport clients
