ELECTRICAL ENGINEER-REDDING, CA
CH2M is seeking a full time Electrical Engineer to our growing team in Redding, CA. As an Electrical Engineer, you have the chance to work on complex projects for our clients across different industries. Working with other members of our team, you’ll provide electrical design for various types of clients. During your time with us, you will prepare engineering specifications and other electrical distributions systems. If you’re to the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you. • Design lead in producing deliverables, contract drawings and documents, design calculations and analysis • Delegation to more junior electrical engineers and CAD technicians in a team environment• Perform start-up and commissioning activities• Prepare specifications and drawings, design electrical distribution systems, review equipment submittals• Have understanding of municipal water/wastewater treatment processes and facilities• Lead the electrical design and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures• Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution, office and personal environments
The minimum qualifications for this position are:• Electrical Engineering Degree from an accredited university or college• Minimum of 6-10 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer and experience working in the engineering consulting environment• Experience and familiarity with National and Provincial Building and Electrical Codes and Standards• Experience with power system analysis software such as PTW, ETAP, EasyPower, Aspen, etc.• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:• Ability to obtain Professional Engineering (PE) License within 1 year• Experience in water and wastewater engineering design• Experience with the construction process and contractor communication though submittal reviews, request for information, and design change notices.• Experience in writing contract documents including technical memorandums and specifications.• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
