We are looking for a highly motivated senior project manager to market and manage a variety of wastewater and water treatment projects and to assist with serving our municipal, state and other clients in the Sacramento area and surrounding geographies. This position will be required to plan and oversee the development of planning/study documents, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and plan reviews. Each day the successful candidate will be an important team member as they participate in the management of design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. This position will need to work independently on a wide-variety of tasks with peers throughout the company. The candidate must be a self-motivated professional with a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with in our diverse and fast-paced work environment. Candidates should be detail oriented, quality driven and team-focused.
Our Senior Project Managers:
• Lead project teams on the design, delivery and oversight of wastewater and water treatment plant projects. • Supervise, train, and mentor less experienced project managers, engineers and designers. • Oversee the preparation of models, engineering specifications, drawings and calculations in support of engineering activities. • Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project goals. • Oversee the preparation of planning documents, reports, studies, and calculations. • Participate in construction support activities including construction management, review of submittals, responding to contractor questions, site visits, and startup and commissioning. • Prepare detailed milestone and schedules, staffing schedules, and man-hour estimates, and budget management. • Participate in the preparation of proposals, scopes and budgets. • Assist with sales activities and help identify and develop new business opportunities.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline • Fifteen (15) years of experience leading and managing project teams on engineering consulting projects • Experience working with municipal and state clients in engineering roles • Licensed professional engineer
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline • Experience in serving various clients involving a wide variety of fields including water and wastewater for planning, consulting, design and construction services • Extensive experience developing strong client relationships to market and deliver solutions that meet our client’s needs • Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams
