Our Transportation Engineering jobs provide you with the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging transportation and infrastructure projects. Each day, you will utilize your skills and contribute to work on various transportation, water resource, and ports projects. In this position you will be exposed to a wide-range of projects involving ports, highway planning and design, water/wastewater design, permitting, and development of construction documents. You will have the opportunity to utilize your knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to complete your assigned tasks in a team environment.

Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with a BSCE and may be a recent college graduate with relevant transportation coursework. Effective verbal and written communication skills are important for client interaction and career advancement. Experience working with AutoCAD and Microstation is preferred, but experience with similar design software packages is also valuable. You should have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each engineering job. This position performs a variety of engineering work in the initial planning and design phase of transportation and water resource projects. The incumbent has basic knowledge of concepts, principles, and theories in a subject area or discipline. He/she has a general understanding of the role of the team/department and industry practice and standards. Under close supervision, the individual performs the routing aspects of engineering assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of engineering assignments.

· 2-4 years of experience on transportation design and water resource projects

· PE in California or working towards a PE in California

· Experience on California DOT projects
