The challenge? Helping our communities stay safely on the move. Our Water Project Manager position provides you with the opportunity to work on exciting and engaging water infrastructure projects. Each day, you will have the opportunity to utilize your planning and design expertise to pursue, manage and deliver multiple medium and large size water-related projects for CH2M's clients.This position will allow you to use your technical experience, manage projects and mentor and direct junior staff.You should be a self-motivated professional with 10-15 years of related experience along with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering degree. Registration as a PE in the state of Utah (or ability to obtain registration) and prior experience winning and managing multiple medium and large water-related projects. This position also requires a technical design background, in at least one of the following areas of water related infrastructure: water treatment, water storage or water conveyance. Our Project Managers:

  • Assist in project pursuits to win work, including client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, orals presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes.

  • Lead successful delivery of quality projects through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements stated in the contract.

  • Lead project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance.

  • Coordinate design activities and meetings between staff, subcontractors, and CH2M HILL Coordinate the planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety and organization of subcontractors and internal technical and support staff.

  • Identify schedule and cost variances and development/implementation of recommendations for corrective action.

  • Help grow the Project Manager resources of the firm through the coaching of others and participating in the development and delivery of learning events.

  • Interact with CH2M project teams and client program level directors.

  • Complete tasks within schedule and budget with teams comprised of different disciplines.

  • Have strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.

  • Perform engineering and/or planning tasks for water related projects.

  • Develop specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages.

  • Mentor and assist junior engineers in career development.

  • Lead and support CH2M’s HS&E culture and plan

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Minimum 10 years of related project experience.

  • Professional Engineer License in the state of Utah or ability to reciprocity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).

  • Strong technical design and project management skills in the areas of water. treatment, water storage or linear water conveyance infrastructure-water main, sewer main, distribution systems, rehabilitation, condition assessment.
