This position is focused on the leadership and management of projects and programs for CH2M port clients.

These projects and programs are aligned to the strategic markets and underlying business objectives of the firm. The incumbent is responsible for delivery of multiple medium projects or a large project. Technical, Financial, Strategic, Team and Client/External Stakeholder Levels of Complexity are typically average, with some aspects of higher complexity evident, and must refer to PD Complexity matrix to validate this level. This role has a demonstrated understanding and application of the knowledge and skill (competencies) required of a project manager; mastery of individual competencies becoming evident in selected areas; a demonstrated understanding and application of the BD/PD process; and is familiar with most of the technologies and delivery methods underpinning the project solution to be delivered. This position understands how projects impact the BG’s and firm’s performance. The incumbent provides motivation and direction to the project team(s), typically through multiple task and/or functional managers. Decisions have an impact on the resource requirements, scope/schedule/sequence of project activities, client and/or team satisfaction, risk profile, quality, health/safety/environment, and financial performance of one or more projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Has demonstrated the capability to manage multiple mid-sized projects of average complexity. • Acts as one of the company’s prime contacts with the client and is responsible for overall work progress and technical performance on the project. • Works with BG project delivery leadership who provide oversight and mentoring. Supports the development of less experienced project managers through active coaching and mentoring. • Specific duties include: o Leads and manages the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements stated in the contract. o Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that CH2M’s HS&E, quality, financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met. o Plays a role in the business development activities leading to the award of the contract. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, orals presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:• Bachelor’s degree in applicable discipline or equivalent experience• Minimum 15 years experience• Construction Management experience • Experienced in directing teams and logistics – both internal team and subcontractors • Client facing • Can perform internal and external budget management
