CH2M Instrument Technician - Anchorage Fab Shop in Anchorage, Alaska

CH2M is now Jacobs. Install, calibrate and adjust instrumentation and instrument loop components such as pipe, fittings, tubing, tubing tray, valves, bridals and instruments

Our Instrument Techs:

  • Install and test pipe, fittings, tubing, tubing tray, valves and instruments according to P&ID's, instrument location drawings, installation details, vendor data and specifications;

  • Move materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites;

  • Complete records, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Five (5) years of experience in industrial instrumentation or equivalent combination of education and experience General knowledge of the ISA standards

  • Basic understanding and knowledge of the functional purpose of the various components of an instrument loop such as transmitters, I/P converters, orifice plates flow nozzles and level indicators

  • Ability to properly use and care for the tools and equipment commonly used on an industrial project such as threading machines and bandsaws

Ability in measuring, cutting, threading, bending, installing Understand formulas for cutting and bending tubing
