CH2M’s Atlanta office is seeking a senior-level engineer to support our Water/Wastewater Process Mechanical team collaborating on design tasks for municipal and industrial clients. This position will primarily serve to complete design and modeling assignments on water and wastewater treatment facility projects. Responsibilities Include

  • Assist with design and planning for water and wastewater projects, including evaluating alternatives, and performing preliminary/detailed design.

  • Conduct engineering analysis: identify problem, develop solution methodology, seek and engage quality control/ quality assurance, interpret results, develop alternative solutions, and present of results.

  • Prepare engineering specifications, data management spreadsheets and databases, maps, drawings, and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.

  • Has supervisory responsibility and provides technical direction to a team of junior and mid- level engineers in multiple offices.

  • Functions as a technical specialist who develops and applies advanced engineering concepts and approaches to unique engineering problems.

  • Conduct field investigations to identify process needs and solutions and perform construction inspections.

  • Conduct engineering condition assessments and evaluations.

  • Prepare reports, studies, and calculations.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • B.S. in Chemical, Environmental, or Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline

  • At least 20 years of experience as an environmental engineer primarily in the wastewater treatment field

  • Professional Engineer’s license in the State of Georgia (or ability to obtain within 6 months)

  • Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office suite

  • Strong data analysis and technical problem solving

  • Outgoing and positive attitude, dependable, and committed to meet all assigned project deadlines.

  • Project and Task Management experience

  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, organized, and able to successfully multitask in a fast-paced office.
