As the Advanced Facilities Process Department Manager, you will be a go to expert in providing professional services for new and existing facilities in the Biopharm, Chemicals, Refining and Consumer Products industries, but also an innovator for new and advanced technologies that will help shape the solutions that we bring to light for solving our client's highly technical needs. Working with other members of our leadership you'll establish a team and grow the Advanced Facilities Process practice as well as mentor/develop staff involved with systems such as process engineering and equipment deliverables, including but not limited to Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), process equipment specifications, process design calculations (e.g. hydraulics, piping line sizing, heat transfer, sizing of pressure relief devices) During your time with us you will also have the opportunity to periodically review the overall skills, experience of the engineers in the department in order to address gaps that may appear or needs that may arise; make necessary plans for recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new employees. You will also represent the Process department in collaborative initiatives across the Life Sciences organization; these may include standardization in approach, sharing of technical knowledge or insights, improvements in planning and implementing of multi-office project execution If you’re up for the challenge, we’ve been looking for someone just like you. The minimum qualifications for this position are:• Minimum of a BS Degree in Chemical Engineering • Travel in support of projects, proposals, multi-office execution of projects and/or technical involvement with projects is expected, valid passport is required
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:• Minimum of 15 years of chemical engineering experience is desired, a portion of which should be in design and construction of projects; experience with industrial/chemical/ and cGMP manufacturing projects is necessary • Previous experience in the career development/guidance and management of professional staff (e.g. engineers) is highly desirable • Professional registration is highly desirable, though not mandatory
