CH2M Project Controls Specialist, Multiple Levels - Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, LLC - Paducah, KY in Fort Campbell, Kentucky
Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, LLC. (FRNP), comprising three strong DOE contractors-CH2M, BWXT, and Fluor-was formed to meet the unique challenges of the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) Deactivation and Remediation (D&R) project. Led by CH2M, FRNP brings new leadership while leveraging lessons learned, site history, and detailed knowledge to deliver cost-effective technical solutions.
Under minimal general supervision, performs Project Controls job functions as assigned by management. Typical job responsibilities are to assist and support management in ensuring proper control, tracking and cost accounting for project cost and work scope alignment with the approved project Work Breakdown Structure and coding. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities that assist and support management in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform the duties of a Project Control Specialist
Develops the Work Breakdown Structures for control and integrity of work to be performed as defined by the contract; develop and maintain project coding
Develops totally integrated EPC schedules/cost control programs
Recommends solutions or recovery plans to schedule/cost impact or delay
Develops and analyzes the Project Margin Analysis Report and prepares the sensitivity analysis for management
Analyzes variances in cost and schedule performance against the plan, and communicates the reasons for the issuance of variance and proposed mitigation plans to the Control Account Manager
Maintain Contract Budget Logs; Provides Status of Management Reserves
Coordinates the review of Project Risk with management and provides status reporting
Possesses practical experience in the use of the automated cost management and scheduling systems
Have knowledge or worked with P6 or Cobra
Knowledge and of use EVMS techniques
Good written communication skills and use of ex-cell to prepare monthly project reports, write variance analyses, WBS Dictionaries, Basis of Estimates, ect
Collects data, inputs updates and produces basic cost/scheduling management reports. Requires accuracy in gathering data.
Maintains orderly records to ensure the integrity of system data
Understands the Work Breakdown Structure and its function and operation on the project.
Applies the principles of a Work Breakdown Structures and Project/Cost Coding to schedule/cost data to ensure that the data is correctly and consistently entered/utilized in the Project Controls System •Senior positions may provide direct supervision to a small team of Project Controls personnel
Provides historical data
Perform duties from basic to complex in nature
Other job related duties as assigned
Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in
a safe manner
Actively participates in Safety Work Groups

The minimum qualifications for this position are:
BA/BS degree in a related field and 1 to 11 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Typical experience ranges from 1 - 15 years.
Strong PC skills to include Microsoft software; automated accounting and cost management systems
Understands the fundamental concepts of Estimating
DOE “L” or “Q” clearance or ability to obtain a DOE “L” or “Q” clearance
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience working on DOE projects
Experience working with project Work Breakdown Structure and coding
Knowledge or worked with P6 or Cobra Good written communication skills
Experience using Excel to prepare monthly project reports

Work in an office at a normal environment
Ability to perform sedentary to light work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally (any exertion of force/lifting greater than 45 pounds requires usage of a two person “buddy system”), non-repetitive, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly, repetitive; performing such activities as lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, grasping, kneeling, stooping, reaching.
Ability to perform primary office duties including heavy computer usage.
In some cases radiological training may be required
