CH2M Junior Architect Professional- Greenville, SC in Greenville, South Carolina

This role provides you the opportunity to work on state of the art facilities for microelectronics, data centers, heavy industrial, research & development, and general manufacturing. You will be part of a team working on projects that make our clients successful today, while helping them develop and capitalize on emerging technologies. You should be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills with a passion and desire to grow professionally, as well as personally, with each new assignment. You should be a detail-oriented. Experience with designing industrial manufacturing facilities is considered a plus. Our team is seeking a person who understands the importance of meeting their targeted commitments while being flexible to the ever-changing and fast paced environment of our clients.

Our Architect Professionals:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with project team members, contractors, clients, and other disciplines such as structural, mechanical, electrical and process to develop high quality designs and documentation.

  • Prepare the necessary construction documents, drawing and specifications as required on a project by project basis.

  • Exercise judgment required in developing plans or alternatives and work with mentors to assure quality plans.

  • Perform field activities such as observation of construction activities.

  • Provide review of design drawings for conformance to design.

  • Provide design services through all phases of the project with frequent client and contractor interaction.

  • Review construction submittals for conformance to contract and design documents.

  • Provide redlines to design team on a project-by-project basis.

  • Address client and contractor RFI’s

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture

  • 3+ years’ experience in architectural design.

  • Strong verbal and written skill set.

  • Ability to organize work and delegate tasks to the design team.

  • Ability to coordinate and lead design team consisting of local and remote team members.

  • Ability to perform field/site visits which may include the need to climb ladders.

  • Ability to travel (estimated travel time is 10%)

  • Proficiency using Revit and AutoCAD

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Licensed Architect

  • Design experience of Offices, Data Centers, Labs, Cleanrooms, Educational Institutions, Manufacturing and Industrial Buildings.

  • Proficiency using Sketch-up and Photoshop
