As an Electrical Engineer, you will be part of a team that works closely in a multi-discipline team environment; provide electrical design on various EI&C projects, including coordinating inter-discipline work and work share with other team members. You will have the opportunity to participate in the mid-level electrical aspects of project assignments. Each day, you will work under the guidance, mentoring, or supervision of senior electrical engineers or designers. During your time with us you will generate and review electrical equipment specifications, technical bid tabs, and approve vendor submittals. Ideal candidate must exhibit solid understanding of applicable industry electrical codes, and standard practices, including the National Electrical (NEC) and NFPA requirements. Hands-on knowledge and design proficiency in electrical standards, Codes, and vendor equipment options. A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a solid mid-level design foundation in lighting and power systems, power distribution service entrance sections, switchgear, motor controls and motors, generators, and grounding. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
Virginia Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain one through reciprocity
3 to 10 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering with an emphasis in Electrical Design and project experience
Low voltage power distribution experience
Fluent in Spoken and written English
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Control system design experience
Prior electrical system testing and commissioning experience
Arc flash experience
Fluent in Spanish
