As a Remediation Engineer, you will have the chance to support site characterization and remediation projects for a range of clients located primarily in the Gulf Coast region of the United States. You will develop remediation plans and manage and execute multiple complex environmental remediation projects, contribute extensively to the overall strategy and approach to the remediation of large, complex project sites and have in-depth knowledge of both in-situ and ex-situ remediation methods for soil and groundwater. You will also help develop and lead large and diverse project teams in all phases of planning, execution, and delivery of site remediation, engineering and design work. In addition, you will provide creative solutions to complex environmental problems by combining regulatory risk assessment in combination with remedial technologies. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • To be considered for this role, you must have at least 6 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry with emphasis on remediation of various media and associated aspects of environmental characterization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering or closely related field.

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain 40-hr HAZWOPER certification, and demonstrate a strong commitment to Health and Safety.

  • Experience completing remedial investigations and feasibilities studies.

  • Experience preparing and reviewing remediation design work for construction drawing packages and specifications.

  • Ability to demonstrate a strong record in health and safety, including experience with behavior-based health & safety programs.

  • Ability to demonstrate expertise in managing and executing projects, partnered with some business development experience within the site management, construction management and remediation.

  • Must be able be in the field up to 20%, including local sites and sites that will require overnight travel.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • 7-10 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry with emphasis on remediation of various media and associated aspects of environmental characterization.

  • Master’s degree in environmental or civil engineer or closely related field.

  • Currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in Texas, or the ability to obtain reciprocal licensure.

  • Construction and or field experience with implementation of remedial strategies.

  • Experience with groundwater recovery systems including installation and troubleshooting.
