CH2M Transportation Engineer in Johns Creek, Georgia

As a Transportation Engineer, you’ll have the chance to contribute to capital transportation projects including the recent Fulton County TSPLOST program for the City of Johns Creek. Working with other members of the team, you’ll work on projects ranging from sidewalks, intersection improvements, signal design, drainage improvements to corridor widenings and bridge replacements. You will participate or manage all aspects of plan development from project development/funding to completion of construction, as well as, management of consultant engineering firms for a variety of infrastructure projects. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Six (6) years of experience in engineering or city management

  • Certified by the State as a Professional Registered Engineer/EIT

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microstation and Inroads

  • Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Ten (10) years experience in transportation/traffic engineering, public administration, and management

  • State Professional Engineering License preferred

  • Knowledge of civil, transportation, construction, and traffic engineering principles, practices and methods

  • Considerable knowledge of applicable City policies, laws, and regulations

  • Thorough knowledge of quality improvement methodologies

  • Skill in conflict resolution and negotiating

  • Skill in effective, clear and persuasive oral and written communications to individuals and groups

  • Ability to negotiate and administer contracts with outside vendors and service providers

  • Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with elected officials, business leaders, advisory boards, the news media, and the general public
