The candidate will assist engineers, technologists and project managers by performing various engineering assignments across a variety of projects including tasks such as: roadway data collection and evaluation, traffic safety studies, traffic and roadway modeling, sanitary and storm sewer design and inspection, and hydraulic analysis. Applicant will be expected to work closely with project team members and be flexible in meeting changing project needs. This position will involve working with multi-disciplinary teams through planning, analysis, and implementation phases of projects for state, county, municipal, and other clients and also have the potential to provide support for other engineering disciplines in the Mendota Heights, MN office and elsewhere within the USA.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental
Coursework relevant to Civil Site Design, Transportation, Traffic, Traffic Safety, and/or Hydraulics
EIT certificate or the ability to receive within 6 months
Ability to maintain effective communication with project team members and clients
Experience with any of the following Synchro, ArcGIS, Excel, VBA, Python
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Experience with any of the following is considered a plus: MS Access, Infraworks, SWMM, AutoCAD, Microstation
At least 1 previous summer design internship on transportation, water, or environmental projects
