As a Geologist/Hydrogeologist working on innovative projects in the U.S. and Canada, you will have the chance to apply the most recent characterization and analysis techniques and creativity in remedial design and regulator strategy. Working with other members of our team, you'll participate in a variety of field and office tasks related to planning, evaluating, and implementing environmental investigations and remediation projects. During your time with us, you will have the opportunity to work with senior remediation technologists to assist in technical analysis of field and office data; assist in writing technical reports; and design field characterization efforts in support of remedial design. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental site remediation including geologic/soils field work and NAPL experience.
Project specific experience with industrial clients where an LNAPL mobility evaluation was performed.
Must be able to work in the field up to 50%, including local sites and sites that will require overnight travel.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Knowledge of tasks that involve site characterization and remediation.
Must be able to obtain/maintain 40-hr HAZWOPER certification, and demonstrate a strong commitment to Health and Safety.
Ability to demonstrate willingness and aptitude to perform field work in a variety of weather conditions.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Experience writing technical reports. (text, table, and figure generation)
Project experience at oil and gas terminals and refineries and with different class I railroads.
Experience with mapping software. (e.g., GIS, Surfer, EVS)
Experience with modeling software. (e.g., MODFLOW, AQTESOLV)
