As a Ports & Maritime Construction Manager, you’ll have the chance to work with our global multi-disciplinary team of engineers working on ports and maritime projects all over the world. Working with members of the design team and senior construction managers, you’ll be involved in helping to oversee the construction of our local waterfront projects ranging from timber pile rehabilitation to the construction of new piers, wharves, and bulkheads. In addition to managing waterfront construction, you will have the opportunity to be involved in whole life cycle of the project, including the inspection, design, scheduling, estimating, and bid reviews. When not overseeing construction, you will assist in the preparation of design drawings, specifications, cost estimates, construction schedules, inspection/engineering reports, and construction/field reports. The minimum qualifications for this position are:• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the design of timber, concrete, and/or steel structures and working on a project involving waterfront construction• Good technical writing skills• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Projects or other scheduling program

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:• Experience designing, estimating, or supervising the construction or rehabilitation of marine structures and facilities• Experience working for or with marine contractors in New York Harbor• EIT certification in order to obtain a PE license in the future
