Job Purpose: Support CH2M’s facility projects for United States Postal Service in the New York City Metro area.
As an Architect you'll prepare engineering design proposals, contract specifications and feasibility studies to evaluate alternative systems and engineering methods. You'll be responsible for ensuring that all drawings meet quality, accuracy and dimension standards. Also, you'll perform design engineering tasks using standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria. Most importantly, this critical role impacts area of assignment by ensuring quality of tasks/output provided.

Survey existing facility and sites and prepare conceptual layouts to validate client requirements for meeting space and functions.
Prepare survey studies to relocate/expand offices & spaces within facilities including conceptual layouts.
Prepare project specifications or edit client speciation’s to meet project specifics.
Prepare architectural designs using CAD to prepare plans, details, sections and schedules.
Conduct field visits to observe installation of architectural building systems and prepare observation field reports.
Participate (Conduct/chair field meetings - optional) in construction progress meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
BS or BA degree in Architecture.
To be considered for this role, you must have at least 6 years of architectural experience.
You must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license, as this role may require travel within the New York metro area.
You must be a Registered Architect.
Current resident of Northern New Jersey or New York five Boroughs, U.S.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Ability to investigate listed manufacturers/products/models to confirm availability and eliminate discontinued products.
Ability to handle or manage 5-10 projects at same time.
Previous US Federal projects experience.
