Our SCADA System Project Manager position will provide you with an opportunity to work on exciting state and local government, municipal, and industrial projects. Our SCADA services group offers a comprehensive suite of products and services. We are a full service provider of Information Solution and Facility Automation services that span the full life cycle of SCADA implementation, from conceptual planning, design, configuration, construction build, installation, testing, startup, and post commissioning services. Each day you will be an important part of the team as you complete a variety of design and project management responsibilities for the design and operation of SCADA systems for water / wastewater treatment facilities and transportation sector clients. Our SCADA Systems Project Managers:

  • Manage medium to large complex SCADA projects with multidiscipline teams executed from multiple office locations for large state and local government, municipal, and industrial projects.

  • Manage several projects of various size and durations at the same time.

  • Lead and manage the project team through all phases of project planning, execution, and closeout, consistent with established project delivery processes to the meet the scope, schedule, budget and other specified requirements stated in the contract.

  • Complete the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring that CH2M’s staff safety, product quality, project financial, risk management; business and policy expectations are met.

  • Lead business development activities resulting in the award of a contract. This could include client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, proposal preparation, oral presentation, and contract negotiation consistent with established business development processes.

  • Possess a knowledge of municipal water/wastewater treatment processes, transportation control systems, and information solution products.

  • Possess proven experience with development and execution of a SCADA Master Plan

  • Possess general knowledge of control system code (PLC and HMI) and preparing specifications and drawings.

  • Lead project teams during start up and commissioning activities.

  • Provide general supervision and mentoring to junior staff for development of design drawings and specifications.

  • Work as part of a team and independently to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.

  • Conduct site evaluations and make recommendations for control systems upgrades.

  • Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

  • Travel as needed for projects to support control system commissioning and startups.

  • Drive ownership of health & safety in all aspects of project execution, office and personal environments.

The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • 10+ years of project management experience including managing SCADA programming, information solutions, and design projects

  • 10+ years of general experience in PLC /HMI control systems, development of control system architecture, development of SCADA Master Plans, Radio Telemetry systems, SCADA Network design, development of P&ID’s, lead design engineer.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of instrumentation and process computer control systems.

  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint

  • Team player, ability to work independently

  • Excellent presentation skills to large audiences

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with transportation control systems.

  • Experience with SCADA System Integration including panel building, field wiring, testing, and commissioning of systems.

  • Experience with SCADA Network design and build

  • Experience with Radio telemetry design and build
