CH2M Experienced Environmental Engineer – Charlotte or Raleigh, NC in Raleigh, North Carolina

As an Environmental Engineer, you’ll have the chance to Analyze data; prepare technical reports; and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems for sites impacted with chlorinated volatile organic compounds and/or petroleum-related compounds. Working with other members of the team, you’ll work with project managers and health and safety managers to develop safety plans, including coordination of audits, integrated field team communications, and corrective actions where needed. During your time with us, you will assist project managers to plan, staff, schedule, budget, and ensure quality of work products, consistency across projects, ensure safety of staff, and coordinate with subcontractors and internal support staff and subject matter experts, as well as Support project managers in day-to-day interaction with our clients and regulators. The minimum qualifications for this position are:

  • BS degree in Environmental, Civil, Geotechnical or other closely related engineering discipline

  • 5 or more years of environmental project experience, including environmental sampling and subcontractor oversight.

  • Experience conducting remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, installing and optimizing remediation systems

  • HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain and maintain

  • North Carolina Professional engineering license or ability to obtain

  • Must be able to plan and perform or oversee field work.

  • Knowledge of USEPA regulations

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of North Carolina regulations

  • Exhibit integrity and the highest quality in all activities.

  • Ideal candidate will be local to either our Raleigh or Charlotte North Carolina offices

  • 7 to 10 years of experience

  • North Carolina Professional engineering license
