As the Structural Bridge Engineer in California's central region, you will have a hand in repairing or enhancing our nation’s bridge infrastructure. Our Bridge Engineer career path is your opportunity to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure transportation projects. As a Bridge Engineer working with other members of our team, you will provide design expertise and fill lead role positions as part of a team in completing bridge and transportation structure design and construction projects. During your time with us, you will use your expertise as a self-motivated professional, ideally with a Master’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, and familiarity with Structural Analysis and Concrete and Steel Design, to: · Lead transportation and bridge teams in all aspects of bridge design, from conceptual and preliminary design to final design and construction · Serve as team leaders for design tasks on small to medium-sized projects · Train, direct, and mentor junior level engineers · Serve as Project Engineers on large, complex bridge projects · May coordinate design activities and meetings between staff, subcontractors, and CH2M · Lead and support safety plan · Assist in business development and proposal efforts · Interact with CH2M project teams and client program level directors · Complete tasks as a member of multidisciplinary project teams · Have strong written and oral communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
2-6 years of experience
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from accredited university
Strong proficiency in Word, Excel; basic proficiency in structural analysis software
FE/EIT Certification and ability to obtain PE within 24 months of employment
Detail oriented and ability to work in team environment to assemble calculations, plans, specifications meeting client expectations
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Master's Degree preferred
Knowledge of CAD/Microstation beneficial
CSI Bridge / SAP2000 knowledge beneficial
